Job Description
Carbolite is one of the UK's largest laboratory heating equipment manufacturers and probably the best known name world-wide in its field. Over 60% of products, which are both designed and manufactured at a purpose built factory in the Hope Valley, are exported.
There exists a vacancy for the above position. Applicants are sought to work within a small team of committed and multi-disciplined engineers responsible for the design development and support of special products, all of which have to conform to European directives and appropriate harmonised standards.
The vacancy will particularly suit individuals who enjoy varied and challenging work. He/She will have a systematic approach to problem solving and be capable of working both in a team and without excessive supervision. The ability to use initiative is essential.
Experience of mechanical engineering is necessary and we would anticipate minimum qualification in an appropriate subject would be to HNC level. The applicant must have the ability to create 2D & 3D engineering drawings using Solid Edge/Solid Works software.
Furnace or oven design experience would be an advantage though not essential.
Salary: Circa £24'000 per annum
